“I was freshly divorced with a 9-year-old son, and I desperately wanted to buy a house in Seattle. When I turned to Sandy, I was temporarily living with my mom, trying to recoup from my divorce. Sandy encouraged me to create a “Must Haves and Can’t Stands” list that included everything I felt I absolutely had to have in a house … as well as what I couldn’t tolerate. With my price range in hand, we went out looking.
